The Arduino 101 is a version of the popular Arduino platform based on the Intel® Curie™ chipset. It has the same form factor as many other Arduino but supports built-in Bluetooth® low energy.

MIT App Inventor provides a sketch for the Arduino 101 and extensions to interact with the sketch. Please follow these instructions to program your Arduino 101 with the App Inventor sketch.

The following extensions are available for use with the companion sketch as part of the Arduino 101 Extension Bundle:

• Arduino 101 Accelerometer — Access the onboard digital 3-axis accelerometer on the Curie’s inertial measurement unit (IMU) chip.
• Arduino 101 Button — Attach buttons or switches to the Arduino 101 to receive input from the device.
• Arduino 101 Gyroscope — Access the onboard gyroscope on the Curie’s inertialmeasurement unit (IMU) chip.
• Arduino 101 Humidity & Temperature — Connect up a Grove digital humidity and temperature (DHT) sensor to collect data about the device’s environment.
• Arduino 101 LED — Connect up one or more light emitting diodes (LEDs) to the Arduino.
• Arduino 101 Light Sensor — Connect up a photoresistor to get readings about ambient or direct lighting.
• Arduino 101 Moisture — Add a moisture sensor to your project.
• Arduino 101 Pins — Add general purpose access to the digital I/O and analog input pins for a greater variety of projects.
• Arduino 101 Proximity Sensor — Add a proximity sensor to detect distance to external objects.
• Arduino 101 Pulse-Width Modulation — Add general purpose access to devices connected to pins supporting pulse-width modulation (PWM).
• Arduino 101 RGB LCD — Add a liquid crystal display with optional backlighting to display information about your project to passerbys.
• Arduino 101 Servo — Drive servos attached to your Arduino.
• Arduino 101 Sound Recorder — Trigger remote recording and playback of audio clips using an attached Grove Recorder v3.
